Governance Improvement

  • Development of a comprehensive risk system for a large organisation to include development of a new risk management policy, training of all senior staff, development and implementation of a risk register and auditing the new system implementation.

  • Delivery of a 2-day bespoke training programme to a number of Boards on: -

    • Regulation and the Role of the Board

    • Corporate Governance and the Role of the Board

  • A comprehensive review of the operational governance of a mental health service.

  • Facilitation of a Board Review day, with the development of an associated action plan for the year ahead.

  • Provision of support to a board on completion of its annual compliance record form for the Charities Regulator.

  • Carrying out Annual Reviews of Quality and Provider Visits for a range of organisations.

  • Development of a structured approach with a senior team to reverse escalatory enforcement action from a regulator.

  • Provision of specialist advice to a Board with regard to responding to enforcement action from a regulator.

  • Review and re-development of all Schedule 5 Policies for a Disability Service.

  • Implementation of a risk policy, a risk register and provision of training for managers on this in a major hospital.

  • Review and re-development of Schedule 5 policies for a Children’s Residential Service.

  • Development of Sub-Committee Terms of Reference for a number of Boards within the Community and Voluntary Sector.

  • Conducting a review of the Integrated Regulatory Framework of an Irish Regulator, to include a comparison exercise with a number of international Regulators.

  • Development of 3-year strategic plans for a range of organisations.
